Robotics Winners!

Congratulations to the Robotic Ponies 2.0 for winning a 1st Place Core Values award December 3, 2016 at the Lego Championships at Legoland. 60 of the best Robotic teams in Southern California competed and the Robotic Ponies came away with this award. Congratulations Robotic Ponies 2.0!!

Congratulations Debate Team!

Congratulations to the SGMS Debate Team! Debate is construing a viable argument. Out of 83 students, SGMS came in 2nd place Overall in the Desert Regional Division for National Middle School Debate.

  • Fuel your rockets and come down to room 21 for buddy shots  which guarantees you to be in the yearbook with your friends! Pay $6 in office B

  • SGMS Got Talent is Coming your way!! It’s your time to shine. We are looking for students who can dance, sing, or perform a talent. Sign up on the SGMS homepage starting on Monday, December 5. You may have the chance to perform at the Pep Rally.

  • A reminder that Christian Club meets every Thursday after school in room 72.  We meet from 3:00 - 4:00....Bring a friend, and see you there, this Thursday in room 72....:)
  • Hey Students....listen up:)
    We are having a canned food drive to help families in our community!
    One can, two can, who can, YOU can! You can be a kid helping another kid by bringing to school canned food, and other snack items for needy families in our community!  Start bringing in your canned goods and snacks tomorrow. Designated drop off locations are Office A, the library, and room 72 (sixth grade area). Let's all join together as kids, helping kids! Remember, one can, two can, who can, You can! Canned food drive, going on now!  Be a part!

  • We have Sweatshirts! Come up to Office B to buy an SGMS Hoodie for $21 Today!

  • Attention all future engineers, it is that time of year to test your design and building skills. It is Seaperch time!!! Seaperch is a Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) underwater robot that you need to design and build. We will be having our first meeting on Monday, December 12, at 3:15pm in room 16. Any questions see Ms. Vega in room 14 or Mr Sanchez in room 16.

  • Attention all students!!! 3D Christmas Tree Ornament Design Competition stats today: Make your own Christmas Tree Ornament design and we will print it. Students may use AutoCAD or TinkerCAD APPs. Turn in your design by December 19th or earlier, to Mr Sanchez in Room 16.
  • Have you ever wonder how we made it to the Moon? How we are able to receive data and pictures from Mars? Or what is our further in space travel? He have the trip for you. We are planning a tour over the winter break to NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in  Pasadena, to view a presentation of the "Journey to the Planets and Beyond.”  We will also visit the von Karman Space Museum Center, Space Flight Operation Facility and the Spacecraft Assembly Facility.  The seating is limited, so pick up your permission slip today after school from Mr. Sanchez, in room 16. The first 35 students that turn in their permission slip will be going all others will be placed on a waiting list.  Again the tour is over Winter Break, the 5th of January. See You after school.
  • It's Drama, Drama, DRAMA CLUB TIME! Drama Club meets this Wednesday at 2:20 in Room 101. Come for fun, food, & a little drama!!!
